Content and physical description
ContentErnst Roth responds on previous correspondence with Bohuslav Martinů (BH 1958-09-13). He does not understand why SYMPHONY No. 4 and TOCCATA are not available - he will contact Paris immediately. (Note by E.R.: „Written to Miss Desmet on 16/9/58“)
E.R. assures B.M. that he has instituted another search for MIRANDOLINA mastersheets. Another copy of the full score with a list of queries was found and is being sent with this letter. (Note by E.R.: „IDC to Mr Gray on 16/9/58“; „Score sent to Nice on 17/9/58“) E.R. will inform B.M. as soon as he has the results of the new investigation.
E.R. admits that he has not yet done anything about SYMPHONY NO. 2 and FANTASIES. He assures B.M. that everything will be done by winter and will keep B.M. informed.
E.R. states that B&H is not the publisher of Porgy and Bess. However, if B.M. asks a distributor in Nice, E.R. will be able to get the score.
E.R. had a nice but too short holiday and has to deal with too many problems. He wishes B.M. and his wife a pleasant stay in Nice and hopes to meet when he is in France.
