Content and physical description
ContentShe received a letter from Jan Hanuš dated 22 October. The manuscript of the ORCHESTRAL SUITE FROM THE JULIETTE OPERA is in the archives of the opera in Prague. She must approach Dilia. JULIETTE will soon be performed in Lyon. Eric Spiess writes that JULIETTE will be performed on 17 April in Hannover, and that Opera Brno recently performed it with great success in Leipzig. As offered last year, she would like to request two tickets for the concerts - two for each, if possible. The list: 14 May: Charles Münch, 15 May Turnovsky, 22 May André Navarra, 27 May Georges Prêtre, 30 May Rostropovich, 7 June Zubin Mehta. Chamber music: 16 May Quartetto Italiano, 19 May Janáček Quartet, 25 May Smetana Quartet, 26th Czech Chamber Orchestra, 3 June Suk Trio. 31 May JULIETTA. Since we have not received the official program, it is possible that there will be changes in something. She hopes they will have tickets for her, if not, have them write to her at once. She thanks in advance and looks forward to seeing JH, as well as [Karl] Shebanek around May 13, if she is well. She has been ill all winter with bronchitis which is still not completely cured. She sends a piano lift to JULIETTY. Have JH ask KS to send ChM a NEW SINGER and also "Maeve's Pokélets" [???] and in fact anything for piano and singing - there is a demand for them. Also have her call Sparky (35-10-39) to see if he is dealing with the room, and what she wrote to him about.
