Content and physical description
ContentSince his operation in 1961, Miloš Šafránek has been doing very well physically, and mentally, due to his work on the book about Bohuslav Martinů, he has been doing well. His Czech book on BM was received with enthusiasm. He is writing a new book on BM and preparing another on BM theatre. He has already had reviews of the English version of the book (soon to be published in London by Allan Wingate) from English musicologists, praising the book as "invaluabe" [invaluable], John Clapham [English musicologist, expert on A. Dvorak] wrote in The Music Review Martinů's Instrumental Style. The MŠ is asking for information in order to prepare another book on BM. The following is a list of information requested by the School. It is in particular the programme of the BSO concert on 12.12.1945, where BM writes about his III. SYMPHONY, contact details of BM's students and the address of Mrs Huguette Clark.
