ContentCharlotte Martinů learned from a letter dated 28 September 1974 that Ivan Štraus could play the premiere of CONCERTA DA CAMERA in Prague. She would like to hear it, because she has never had the opportunity to hear this piece live, only from a recording, which is not the best.
Saša [Večtomov] wrote to her that IŠ would like to use Bohuslav Martinů's name in the title of the duo [IŠ - violin, Marek Jerie - cello]. But there is another duo that would also like to have the same name. ChM would prefer IS, but it has to be arranged so that there is no confusion. ChM regrets that she had to cancel her trip to Brno due to illness. Instead, she has been cooped up in the house all winter. She is looking forward to the recording of CONCERTA and the two duets [for violin and cello Nos. 1 and 2?]; it is her only joy now that she cannot travel.
