Content and physical description
ContentCharlotte Martinů received a letter from Karel Šebánek dated 25 June. She is very surprised that he did not say anything to her about the Brno affairs. When she met people from Brno in Paris, it was a huge embarrassment. She admits that she was strict with Harry Halbreich because she did not know what to think of the situation. Her friends received medication. Also, no one asked ChM for her permission about the recordings. She found out that SYMPHONY No. 5 was recorded in Louisville (Louisville Orchestra, conducted by Robert S. Whitney). ChM will discuss this with SUISA, but she will not be able to get there before November 1, as she is not allowed to travel, even for the Mass in memory of Bohuslav Martinů. Perhaps the GREEK PASSION will arrive later. ChM believes that KS has mistaken Heinz Schneider - Schott for another person. The one he knows from Paris is not his 60th birthday, but is a young man in his 30s. She has also received letters from friends, but will reply to them later when she feels better. She is sorry that Karel Šolc has become paralysed, and she is also saddened by the state of Julius Kalas's health. On her last trip to Paris last week she saw her secretary, Mario Boise. She learned that Panton had re-signed with them. This situation has made her very angry, as MB himself does a lot of promotion of BM in Paris and can do a lot, especially for ballets and operas. But she will give her opinion in Prague this year.
