ContentThanks for the letter of 27th of June 1955. Martinů wrote him, that he completely modified the orchestra score of CELLO CONCERTO, H 196 II, and that he is now making further modifications in the solo part. Having finished the final version [H 196 III], BM will send it to Strecker. BM does not even like the second version [H 196 II] anymore. It's now up to Šafránek adding to his register all three versions or only the last one from 1955.
First performance of H 196 III is going to take place already in November or December 1955, so by then the complete material is going to be provided. He specifies instrumentation of H 196 I.

Informs about his correspondence with Samuel Dushkin and that he asks him to quickly return the corrected score of SUITE CONCERTANTE, H 276. He asked him as well, whether does not exist a version as a violin concert. As soon as he will know, he is going to tell Šafránek.
