ContentDilia thanks Charlotte Martinů for her letter. They are glad she is healthy.
They inquired about "The Fountains" [performance entitled "Woven from the Springs": OPENING OF THE WELLS, SPALICE, see DLA 1963-00-00c]. The performance will be performed by the Czechoslovak State Song and Dance Ensemble at the Smetana Theatre as a ballet. The premiere is likely to be on 15 December 1963 in Prague [finally not until 21 December, see DLA 1964-01-11], but the preview must take place a few days earlier in Polička. Miloslav Bureš is taking care of it. The performance will take place as part of the celebration of the 80th anniversary of the National Theatre. Vojta, the director of [ČSSPT], promised Dilia all the required materials (photos, reviews, etc.) in case ChM does not make it to Prague. So far they know nothing about the visit of the "ND" [National Theatre?] in Paris. They will keep Charlotte informed.
ISAIAH'S ORATORY will be performed by the Czech Philharmonic. The premiere will take place on 4 Dec. In addition, they have learned that along with "Studánki" [OPENING OF THE STUDIOS] a part of the SPALICE will be performed, probably the ballet The Tale of Cinderella. Both works are published in Czechoslovakia: can royalties for ChM be paid in crowns? Dilia still has not received a letter from [Israeli Music Publications], asking ChM for their address.
