Content and physical description
ContentDilia thanks Charlotte Martinů for her letter of 9 August 1963. Her two parcels may have reached Paris. The writer sent them late because he had to renew the documents at the [Ministry of Education and Culture] in July.
There is no news from Dilia about the opera TWELVE ALEXANDERS. The theatres are still making their plans and will submit them to Dili in early September. Dilia will keep Charlotte informed.
Thank you for the information about JULIET. They have notified Jan Matejcek and everything needed will be sent to Boosey & Hawkes. In addition, Dilia is working with Alkor-Edition to distribute the work worldwide.
According to Miloslav Bures, "Studanek" [performance of "Woven from the Springs": OPENING OF STUDANEK, SPALICE, see DLA 1963-00-00c] will be performed at the National Theatre by the Czechoslovak State Song and Dance Ensemble as part of the National Theatre celebrations. The premiere will probably take place in December, but it still depends on the theatres' plans, which Dilia will receive in early September. Charlotte will then announce a definite date. [The premiere took place on 21 December 1963].
Dilia has not yet received a letter from Israeli Music Publications [regarding material for ISAIAH'S PROPHECY, see DLA 1963-08-09].
ChM is to inform Dilia whether she will visit them. Dilia will acquaint her with the details in the National Theatre programme.
