Content and physical description
ContentCharlotte Martinů hopes that Mrs Bušková and her son (who was apparently on the Côte d'Azur) had a pleasant summer. She received both parcels and thanks the addressee and Zdeněk Pechold for the careful packing.
She attended the beautiful performance of VESELOHRY ON THE BRIDGE in Vichy on 25 and 26 July 1964. It was very well received. Perhaps it could open the way for BM operas in France, as it was the first [BM] opera performed in French. The conductor of the show [Edmond Carrière] is from the National Opera in Lyon and would like to perform some of the great BM operas. ChM has offered him JULIET (materials awaited from Prague) and GREEK PASSIONS, the score of which has already been sent to Lyon from Universal Edition.
ChM tells Pechold not to forward her money to the Trade Bank.
