Content and physical description
ContentCharlotte Martinů asks Alfred Schlee for news from his publishing house. On 18 October she received a reply that AK was in Vienna to discuss all her queries.
ChM asks Schlee to say whether Universal Edition is planning to publish THREE CZECH DANCES, for which AK and Bohuslav Martinů had contracted in Rome in 1957. The score is in great demand and it is expensive for ChM to procure copies.
Charlotte is also surprised that she has not yet received an overview of payments since the last performance of GREEK PASSIONS in Zurich.
TWO IMPROMPTU FOR CEMBALO have already been published by Éditions Max Eschig in Paris. Charlotta offers to publish TWO COMPILATIONS FOR CEMBALO instead.
She asks if there are plans for further performances of the GREEK PASSIONS.
She will be grateful for the reply and belatedly wishes all the best for the New Year. She will stay in Nice until 10 Feb (she gives her address at the end of the letter), but Schlee can write to her in Vieux-Moulin.
