Content and physical description
ContentMartinů sends contracts and confirms receipt of 2000 fr. for July. Melantrich has until 10 August to send the manuscript of THE SMITH QUARTET No. 4 No. Puc to Dobrichovice. They may offer the work, but with the proviso that the premiere is commissioned from Puc in Paris, date not yet known. After the premiere the work will be free. The first performance is to be given by the Hungarian Quartet [it did not take place], but it could be changed to a Czech performance (Prague or Ondříček).
Martinů will send the manuscript of the score and the piano excerpt of HERO OF MARIA by courier. The Olomouc theatre is to ask for more keyboard excerpts and orch. material at the National Theatre in Prague.
At the same time he sends photographs.
He will send the CONCERTINO FOR CLAVIERNE TRIO AND SMITH ORCHESTRA and the SONATA FOR FLUTE, HOUSEL AND CLAVIERNE hopefully at the end of the month.
