Content and physical description
ContentIn a letter dated 18 July [1958], E. Reinbach writes that they have received the print folios of the scores of Bohuslav Martinů’s SYMPHONIES NOS. 2 and 3, but they know nothing about the transparencies of the parts of SYMPHONY NO. 4. Gertrude Smith wrote to BM, yet he replied that he had sent the parts of SYMPHONY NO. 4 together with the scores of SYMPHONIES NOS. 2 and 3. He will confirm it after he has returned to Switzerland. Therefore, GS asks ER to have a look round again. BM also mentioned that a performance of SYMPHONY NO. 4 scheduled to be given in Paris was cancelled owing to the lack of performance materials, and the radio station in Nice cancelled a performance of the TOCCATA E DUE CANZONI for the same reason. These materials should be available in London.
