Content and physical description
Content[Part written by Charlotte Martinů:]
ChM apologizes for the delay in sending the photos. Time is running out fast in New York. ChM is glad Paul Sacher liked the photos. The pictures with Conrad Beck [and his wife] were taken in the Beck's garden. ChM [and Bohuslav Martinu] are looking forward to getting more photographs from [Albert Yves] Bernard.
The following day they will travel to Baltimore, where Rudolf Firkušný will perform CONCERT FOR PIANO AND ORCHESTRA No. 2. The RF will then leave for a tour of Europe (France, Italy, Belgium).

[Part written by Bohuslav Martinů:]
BM thanks Sacher for his letter. ChM sends him photographs.
Werner "Reinham (?)" [Reinhart], treasurer of the Musikkollegia Winterthur, asked the writer for information concerning [CONCERT FOR MUSIC AND ORCHESTRA No. 2], as he intends to perform it with Hansheinz Schneeberger and Victor Desarzens [the piece was performed on 19 January 1949]. Could PS lend Reinhart his material? It would be tedious for BM to arrange it from [America], plus he needs the material himself for the current season.
Gilgamesh worries the writer. BM has a lot of work at [Princeton University] and everything is going well, but it is tedious.
