Content and physical description
ContentPaul Sacher thanks Bohuslav Martinů for his letter of 28.11.
Maja Sacher contacted the agency, PS encloses her letter with the necessary information.
PS approves BM [and Charlotte Martinů] deciding to go to Lisbon rather than wait in Aix-en-Provence.
PS gives the contact details of Max Klein in Barcelona, who might perhaps be useful to the addressees in obtaining a visa for Spain. PS also gives the address of his sister Nelly Louise Frey to Santiago de Chile. The boxes of Nelly Louise and Jean Rudolph Frey could not be sent to Lisbon and had to be sent back to Basel.
BM is delighted to have received such an enthusiastic response to the performance of the DOUBLE CONCERT in Bern. The radio broadcast the piece as late as 27 October; it was a recording of a radio concert [PS] made in the autumn.
PS wrote to Universal Edition to organise Louis Wauthier for the score [CONCERTA GROSSA].
PS has received the score and material for the CONCERTO FOR PIANO AND ORCHESTRA [No. 2] and asks what to do with them.
He is pleased that the addressee of the work is doing well. He regrets that he will not be able to hear his new works in the near future, nor will he hear his new cantata.
