ContentBohuslav Martinů has only just returned from his holidays, he has been camping, resting. He will look at the scroll in peace later and write about it next time. He doesn't think there are any mistakes. At Boosey & Hawkes he read the complaints of Karl Shebanek. B&H cannot send another order until they receive prints from Orbis to substantiate the action. Ernst Roth is in charge of everything. BM doesn't understand why they don't sort these things out directly between themselves. Ralph Hawkes had his funeral on Monday. BM doesn't know who will be running the business now. He would like OSA to send at least 25,000 CZK to the siblings in Polička. He doesn't know anything about Antonín Čejko. He received a letter saying that another 45,143.80 [Kčs] had been deposited in his account. He has no hopes of seeing the money. He is thinking of stopping the publication of his works in collaboration with Orbis; anyway, KS is only inconvenienced - there will be nothing to do with the operas for Orbis. He will try to get JULIETTA material as KS advised him. He insists on writing a dedication to Rosalie Barstow in the SMITH Quartet No. 6 and to Mischa Elman in the Concerto for Violin and Orchestra No. 2. He will write it himself in the copies he has with him. She will send him the packet as soon as she is settled again. He asks about Miloš Šafránek, he has not written to him.
