Content and physical description
ContentBohuslav Martinů has just received a package from Washington containing a piano excerpt of THE SPALER and RONDA and the SMITH QUARTET No. 6. He is delighted with the release, but they forgot to write a dedication in the quartet. Then he has only inconvenience, as in the case of the dedication of the CONCERT FOR VIOLINS AND ORCHESTRA No. 2 to Mischa Elman. Karel Šebánek is also supposed to see to the binding, some scores have a quartet cover and inside there are rondos. He has not had time to look at the Palladium, he will look at it after the holidays. Now he has to leave New York, it's very hot. Hopes KS has news from Boosey & Hawkes regarding the order, or news regarding his "support". In a note, he asks if there is any additional way to print a dedication "to Rosalie Barstow" on the quartet.
