Content and physical description
ContentBohuslav Martinů received only a receipt, but no money. The embassy wrote to him to contact Melantrich at sl. Hlavata and give her his address. BM doesn't know where he will be staying at the moment, so they are to send the money to the embassy in Paris and he will pick it up there when he returns at the end of the month. He will also write to Sl. Hlavaté. It is too late to repair the house in Vieux Moulin, they will sell it. Karel Šebánek can write to him at Charles Quennehen's address (he gives it). BM does not believe KS will write anyway. He can't explain his silence, especially on business matters. So he does not know what to do about JULIETTA, the representation in the USA, the manuscripts of the operas still in Prague [THE VOICE OF THE FOREST?, VESELOHRA NA MOSTĚ?] or about KS's arrival in Paris. He assumes that the situation for sending or transferring his money from Prague is hopeless. From New York he has sent a request through František Vrba of the Consulate for payment in the form of a monthly allowance. He wonders who is in charge of collecting the fees for the execution of the works in America - he cannot do it himself. There is considerable interest in Juliette; he must write off. She is in Evian les Bains for a few days, gives address.
