Content and physical description
ContentJL apologizes for writing off almost a month late. He's been busy - friends coming and going, wife ill... he mentions family problems too. He returns greetings from friends in Prague who have written to him. He learned that the Plays about Mary will be shown in Prague, BM could send "Lidice" there, the 1st and 2nd symphonies should be there already. BM probably didn't catch the radio broadcast because the station is weak, but he praises the performance. The BBC records can only be played on the radio, they are also (there) on the Consulate. The Talich thing is not quite clear - JL writes what he knows about the matter. He's also on Talich's side. He asks permission from BM to send Friedman a copy of his new sonata (?). He has already sent the violin concerto to Leichner. Firkušný was, according to his daughter's testimony, a tremendous success. He returns a greeting from Martha Benes-Stern, who sends a package for Charlotte.
