ContentBohuslav Martinů thanks the addressee for the scores of the CONCERTO FOR STRING QUARTET AND ORCH. He will immediately entrust one to Mr. Pierre Monteux, who is interested in the work; he is only afraid that the conditions on the part of the Pro Arte Quartet will be rather onerous. BM would like to know whether the addressee is familiar with the Pro Arte Quartet’s conditions. Perhaps it could be committed to the Lener Quartet, who will be giving a concert cycle in Paris. He asks the addressee to send him as soon as possible two copies of the PIANO TRIO NO. 1. By the end of the year, he would like to send something to the International Festival in Amsterdam. He asks the addressee to send the score od string quartet to the Umělecká beseda Music Society. The work on the CONCERTO FOR VIOLIN AND ORCH. NO. 1 is progressing well, Mr. Samuel Dushkin is really satisfied. New address: 172, rue de Vanves, Paris (14e).
