ContentThe Pro Arte Quartet evidently do not reply, because of that the addressee sends him the address of their agent. He knows that they intend to perform his CONCERTO FOR STRING QUARTET AND ORCH. on 3 December in Brussels. In January, they will be going to America. Naturally, the ideal situation would be if they could engage this excellent quartet under special conditions. He only knows the Lener Quartet very superficially, hence he cannot make them co-operate on the basis of friendly contacts. As a composer, he can do it best. They have sent him copies of the CONCERTO FOR PIANO TRIO AND STRING ORCH., they have sent the score of the quartet to the Hudební Matice for an international music festival. He is pleased to hear that the violin concerto for Samuel Dushkin has been progressing.
