ContentSchott Music is ready to give to Bohuslav Martinů a share of 2,000 francs for the PARTITA, yet without the obligation to publish the SONATA NO. 2. Yet they would like to discuss it again later. At the moment, they can only suggest to BM, if he really wants to have the Sonata published so much, that they pay him only 1,500 francs, and that they determine the fees from the Sonata’s sale for him. If BM thinks that their expectations are wrong and that the Sonata will sell well, later on he will benefit from the fees. He should let them know how he decides, so that they can send him the amount. Mr. Willi Strecker will definitely be going to Paris within the next two months and will inform him of his arrival in time. When it comes to the CONCERTO FOR VLC AND ORCH. NO. 1, they expect more news from the Paris performance.
