Content and physical description
ContentBohuslav Martinů writes to Charlotte Martinů that Rudolf [Firkušný] has returned and told him about Boston. He [Sergei] Koussevitzky was excited about RF, wanted him to come to Tanglewood. But RF has other commitments in South America. [Frank] Rybka visits him often. RF met someone in California who had the same accident as BM, advised him not to stress, that he felt the effects for even two years, but that BM would come out of it without any consequences. BM believes that ChM is busy with concerts [at the Prague Spring Festival] and spending time with Charles [Munch]. He is to tell [Karl] Šebánek that he can send BM a piano lift of JULIETTA. Work on the CONCERTO FOR PIANO AND ORCHESTRA [No. 3] is not going well, BM is considering the composition of a QUARTET [SMITH QUARTET No. 7 (CONCERTO DA CAMERA)]. [Alén] Diviš should already be in Prague, he was due to leave Paris on 15 May. He asks that ChM ask [Jan] Löwenbach if he has received the documents [verification of nationality and academic degree] from the consulate.
