Martinů (it was used for the production of the opera for the first time in 2006 in Paris, all French productions before that used the French translation by Bronislaw Horowitz); German translation by Ludwig Kaufmann, new German version of the libretto by Aleš Březina and Dietfried Bernet (2001); English translations by G. Thomsen, Walter Schmolka, David Poutney.
