Content and physical description

Content	Richard Klos apologises that due to health problems he is only now replying to Charlotte Martinů's letters of 7 November [1975, ID 9134] and 17 November [1975]. Yesterday, Bohuslav Martinů Memorial Day, the first meeting of the Bohuslav Martinů Foundation took place. It is expected that this organization will be very beneficial for the promotion of BM's work. Colleagues in Dilia, Panton and Orbis are addressing all the things that ChM wrote about [see ID 9134]. The French translation of the article on the dispute between [Milos] Safranek and [Harry] Halbreich is not yet complete. RK is still waiting to hear from the Ministry of Culture regarding the sending of the official letter to [Paul] Sacher and the handing over of ChM packages to [Sasha] Vettomov, [Ivan] Straus and Lev [Ginsburg]. Orbis Director Štěpán Engel discussed with RK all technical matters concerning the publication of the ChM: the French and English texts will be published first in 1976, edited by [Jaroslav] Mihule. Of course, JM will tell about this himself when he visits ChM next January. [Jan] Zrzavý has been released from the hospital and is waiting for a letter from ChM. ChM asked about the letter sent to her by JM, MS and [Karel] Šebánek before her departure from Prague - it was a report on the establishment of the NBM, RK will send a French translation [ID 9147] next week. In Polička, an exhibition was organized dedicated to ChM's visit.
