Content and physical description
ContentBohuslav Martinů sends Paul Sacher the material for the 1st orchestra [TWO-CONCERTS], the rest with the score will be ready in a few days, on Monday at the latest. BM will send it immediately. He thinks Monique Haas is going to Switzerland, so he will ask her to bring the manuscript. He apologizes that he cannot deliver the material by the end of the month as PS wanted. BM has done everything possible to expedite the copy, but copyists are few and busy. Nothing could be done about the photograph. BM had more copyists and split it into parts. There is one good Chinese copyist, but he is slow. BM hopes the material will arrive in time for the exams.
He also apologizes for bothering with the music [apparently CONCERTO GROSSO, see ID 901] that was sent to Sacher from Prague. He gives thanks for himself and for Vítězslava Kapralová. He asked Prague for a different solution. He asks for acknowledgement of receipt of the first material, the rest will certainly go out next Monday.
