Yes, they have Martinů's CONCERT SYMPHONY printed, but it is not for two orchestras, but for solo oboe, bassoon, violin, cello and piano and string orchestra with two clarinets and two horns. However, with Martinů one never knows, it is possible that he has a CONCERTANT SYMPHONY FOR TWO ORCHESTRAS [which Sacher inquires about in previous correspondence] published by another publisher [Schott Music GmbH & Co.]. Anyway, they don't have a second concertante symphony [in Boosey & Hawkes]. But they have a DOUBLE CONCERT FOR TWO STRING ORCHESTRAS, PIANO AND TIMPANS. Before they send anything, PS should let know which of the works he would like. It's really terrible with [Victor] Bator, time is running out. |

Vielen Dank für Ihren Brief vom 14. Februar.
Wir haben die SYMPHONIE CONCERTANTE von Martinu gedruckt aber sie ist nicht für zwei Orchestr sondern für : Oboe, Fagott, Violine, Violoncello und Klavier Soli und Streichorchester mit 2 Klarinetten und 2 Hörnern. Bei Martinu weiss man allerdings nie. Vielleicht hat er aine Symphonie Concertante für zwei Orchester bei einem anderen Verlag. Wir jedenfalls haben keine zweite Symphonie Concertante. Aber es gibt noch das Doppelkonzert für 2 Streichorchester Klavier und Pauken. Bevor ich Ihnen etwas Falsches schicken lasse, sagen Sie mir, bitte, ob eines von den Beiden das Richtige ist.
Mit Bator ist es wirklich furchtbar. Die Zeit drängt nun doch.
