ContentBohuslav Martinů asks if Paul Sacher has any reviews [of the premiere] of TRE RICERCARI at the Venice Festival [Biennale di Venezia, 6 September 1938], and asks for copies. BM doesn't have any and Universal Edition asks him for them for publicity. PS is to send them either to the composer or directly to UE. The performance of TRE RICERCARI at Triton was a success, the hall was a sell-out from the first bar and the Andante received a great ovation. BM will let BM know soon about the DOUBLE CONCERT, he thinks he will find a publisher. He doesn't have much compositional work to do, but he is busy with many other things. [He and Charlotte Martinů] reminisce about PS.
