ContentThank you for donating the snippet of the Scriptures of the Soldiers. He remembers his youth. Florian, the painter, promised to paint a picture for his memorial book to accompany this dedication. The concert of the choir [the Prague Teachers' Singing Association] was a great success, but the most popular was Songs of the Soldiers. Four songs were successfully performed as a whole. Today, 17 April [1957], the concert is repeated at the Rudolfinum, the Smetana Hall is sold out. It is a pity that they only got the first part of the cycle from Bohuslav Martinů. He will report on the concert later. If they had had the whole cycle available, they would have started right away. At the end of June they are going to Bratislava for a competition, they have already been to England and Germany.
