Content	Written by Marie Martinů: They received Karel Šebánek's letter together with a letter from [Miroslav] Bures, he writes that some of them were moved to tears, he only regrets that Bohuslav Martinů could not be present.The festive evening at their theatre on 8 December was beautiful thanks to all three artists, the only thing that bothered them was the cold in the theatre. Surely he had already spoken with M. [Master František?] Smetana, who could tell how enthusiastically the audience received his playing and Milada Musilová's rendition of the songs - the pianist Simon accompanied both beautifully. He is looking forward to the STUDENTS and to the visit of KS. The Director of Music honored BM's birthday on December 13 with a concert by the students. He [Václav] Talich was also present that evening in Prague and was touched. BM already wrote about it. MB is coming for Christmas, so he will give details. As for the letter from the Museum, MM will go home for the holidays for two days and copy KS's letter, he only knows from memory that there is no mention of the Martin family's ownership, just a list of what they took over from the Philharmonic. He does not know if Prof. [Zdeněk] Zouhar has already written to KS that he has already received permission from the Pardubice Region to take over the patronage of the BM items in the local museum and that there is also a discussion about the reinstallation of the light room in the tower. The local [Polička] National Committee has also received an order from the Ministry of Education to celebrate the BM's 65th birthday in a dignified manner. František Martinů has not received anything from the Artists' Fund to date. [Jan] Novák wrote from Brno that he and KS would spend Christmas in the Krkonoše Mountains. He wishes a wonderful Christmas and New Year. He asks that when they don't need the score of HYMN that KS take it to his place, they have none at home.
