ContentMarie Martinů received a letter from the Czechoslovak Theatrical and Literary Society asking to borrow the score of THEATRE BEHIND THE BRANCH - she thinks it is on the recommendation of Karel Šebánek. MM hereby informs KS that they are sending the score to them today - she would have asked earlier but they refer directly to him in the letter. They don't have the piano lift though, it's in the State Theatre in Brno, it's their property. Bohuslav Martinů has been at the Sachers' this week, he wants to be in Bern on 2 October for the premiere of THE MOUNTAIN OF THREE WORLDS, and on 5 October he flies back. They'll be worried until they find an apartment. Did he laugh at the last letter he wrote with Mrs. Prazan? The Museum hasn't replied yet, she wrote to them on the 16th of September, so she will wait.
