Content and physical description
ContentThe executive director of the "Jubilee Foundation of Bedřich Smetana" responds to a letter from Karel Šebánek, which he received after his return from vacation. The Curatorium had to exclude Martinů's opera JULIETTA because it was not received by the end of the competition deadline, i.e. 15 June. He adds that this condition was explicitly communicated to the composer in preliminary correspondence. This provision can only be changed by the Board of Trustees, which will meet after the holidays. If it decides to accept the composition subsequently, it will request a score from the KS. At the time KS sent the score, the KJNBS executive was not in Brno, but he would have had to return the score anyway because of the curatorium's resolution. The composer has been informed of the resolution and will be informed of any change.
