Content and physical description
ContentImmediately after receiving the letter of 12 April 1950, Jindřich Honzl wrote to the directors of the National Theatre to ask if they would perform JULIETTA, and on 16 May 1950 he received a reply from the artistic director Ladislav Boháč that they would not; the theatre in America could therefore take steps to borrow material from the National Theatre archives. JH would like to know whether Bohuslav Martinů will ask the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Information for permission to import the material to America. JH will write to the Ministry, but the most reliable way would be for BM or the theatre to contact the Czechoslovak Embassy, who would arrange this. He hopes BM has received the book of Sukhov Kobylin and his dramas.
