Content and physical description
ContentBohuslav Martinů would like to thank you for arranging the translation. He has worked a lot on JULIETTA, it is already far into the second act. For now there is no "singing", it is actually a recitative, but with a fully developed orchestra. With the strange music it will seem like a dream, especially Act 2, which reminds BM of his plan with A Midsummer Night's Dream. It's going to be a tough one to realise. He had to do the translation himself, he had it done when he got Horeshi's translation - it's very good as a literal translation, but it's dead compared to the original and wouldn't inspire. BM's translation is almost identical to J. Hořejší's translation. They are not coming to Prague yet, they will return the translation.
