ContentIn a letter to her parents, Vítězslava Kaprálová mentions a visit to a concert of the Czech Philharmonic on 4 April 1937 ("Today I am going to see Jirák-Leroux..."), at which, among other things, symph. Josef Suk's poem Praga and Karel Boleslav Jirák's Symphony No. 1, Bohuslav Martinů's Concerto for Piano and Orchestra No. 2 was also performed. Rudolf Firkušný introduced her to Jan Löwenbach and a number of other people at the Social Club [?]. VK will also analyse Liszt's and Chopin's works for the dissertation of "a Jew" [Karel Vinklát], for which she will earn 150 CZK.
