Content and physical description
ContentVáclav Kaprál writes [to Miloš Šafránek] that he has received the letters in order and sends the last series [of correspondence between Bohuslav Martinů and Vítězslava Kaprálová]. Occasionally, he will lend him a sketch of the SMYČCZE QUARTET No. 5, which BM composed when Vitulka [VK] was in Monaco. The sketch contains funny pictures and phrases that signify a longing for VK. His illness is not yet improving, he still has a headache and no desire to work. Occasionally he is pleased by a letter and the work of friends. He lets his wife, MS [Germaine Leroux], say hello and asks if she has any of his piano pieces. He is looking forward to seeing her in Prague, and wishes BM were home too.
