ContentBohuslav Martinů was delighted to meet Wilhelm Strecker in New York. They finally found an apartment and can enjoy peace with his wife. He has received the Suite [CONCERT SUITE FOR VIOLINS AND ORCHESTRA] and likes the edition very much. He is waiting to hear from [Pierre] Fournier to see if he has gone to Laussane with the new CONCERT FOR VIOLONCELLO [No. 1]. BM asks WS if he has the piano part yet. He would also like to ask for a copy to be sent to Milos Sadl, Elian Magnan, August Wenzinger and Massimo Amfiteatroff. No information has yet been received from Associated Music Publishers. He no longer works with Boosey & Hawkes, so he may send his new compositions to WS. BM plans to arrive in Europe in May, where he would like to stay for a year.
