ContentCharlotta Martinů has no news from Karel Šebánek and Jaroslav Mihul. This morning she telephoned Zdenka [Podhajská], who was accompanying [Otakar] Kraus, who was to give a concert in Paris. The Talich Quartet had a successful concert at the Théâtre de la Madeleine. He will see the members of the ensemble in Compiègne, where they will record the SMITH QUARTET No. 3. Hopefully there will not be a strike, which is now plaguing all of France. He knows from [Georges Neveux] that [Germaine Leroux] came to Paris in October. She has also received a letter from [Anna] Špacka, to which she will reply later. She asks that KS tell JM that the last message from him was from his travels in Poland and since then ChM has had no news of him. He asks JM to concentrate on the French translation of the EPOS ON GILGAMES to be provided by [Richard] Klos.
