Content and physical description
ContentBohuslav Martinů apologizes to Vilém Tauský for the late reply, he was busy and did not want to send the unfinished manuscript to the USA. BM regrets not being able to get a single note on all the BBC concerts, even arguing with Radio. He does not know why it is impossible to get the BBC here. Learned from Boosey & Hawkes of a beautiful performance of SYMPHONY No. 5. BM still has not heard SYMPHONY No. 6 (SYMPHONIC FANTASY) and would like to know VT's impressions. It is a sensation in America and BM would like to know why. He would also like to know how the orchestra reacted to his SYMPHONY? And whether the festival is a success or not. At the end he reports that it is in Nice until the end of the month and includes a Paris address.
NoteThe letter was originally written in Czech, in the book the whole letter is translated to English
