Content and physical description
ContentCharlotte Martinů has received a letter from the New York Philharmonic asking her for the score and material for the CONCERTO FOR PIANO AND ORCHESTRA No.3. The work will be performed in the 1964/1965 season by Rudolf Firkušný under the direction of [Josef Alois] Krips, who requests the piece to be studied as soon as possible. ChM asks Karel Šebánek to send it to the Philharmonic as soon as possible, which he encloses. He also asks if KS has received a photograph of Bohuslav Martinů. ChM has no information from Prague, but she has been contacted by the Ostrava Quartet, which has sent her a program featuring the SMYČCOVÁ QUARTET No. 7. ChM plans to see the premiere of TWICE ALEXANDER in Mannheim and also plans to travel to the Prague Festival [Prague Spring]. He also plans to deal with the Pantone contract in Zurich.
