ContentMartinů asks that, at Bohuslav Martinů's request, the premiere of HYMN TO SAINT JACOB be left to Polička (31 July 1955) before the performance in Prague. His letter [Šeb1955-07-12] and the returned criticisms arrived today, but they were hoping for a translation. The score of the Nativity of the Lord from THE GAMES OF MARY is in Polička - they will send it soon. The question of finances has probably already been discussed by Karel Šebánek with [Václav] Kasal and so he already knows what is going on.
