ContentBohuslav Martinů writes to Jan Novák that JN does not know how to make piano lifts - the lift of a chamber work must be like a small score, so that one can see what is happening [he is referring to the lift of POLNÍ MŠE, which was prepared by JN and published by the CHF in 1956]. BM has already written to Karel Šebánek, but he is silent. Why did JN change the spelling of Cis to Des, etc.? The extract is full of mistakes, it was obviously not corrected. BM receives news that [Miloslav] Bureš is also planning to go out and perhaps the [Czech] Philharmonic will go to Italy. How is JN with Záviš? BM has sent ZBOJNICKÉ PÍSNĚ to the Moravian and Prague teachers. BM also sent the new Bureš's ROMANCE FROM THE SMOKE OF THE BRAMBORO NATI. He changed his mind about his pouting, which won't change anything. BM and Charlotte [Martinů] greet JN and Eliska [Nováková].
