Content and physical description
ContentThe deputy director of the National Theatre writes to Dilia that in a letter dated 26 January 1960 [ND 1960-01-26] they asked to arrange the loan of musical material for Bohuslav Martinů's work Greek Passions. Dilia replied by letter of 4 March 1960 that Universal Edition could only lend the musical material in the autumn of 1962 after the Zurich Festival Games. The National Theatre introduced the registration together with the State Theatre in Brno on 30 May 1958. On the instructions of the head of the opera [Jan Seidel], they are now renewing the order, and the performance should take place during the second half of 1962. The National Theatre asks to be told if they can count on the loan and asks to be told that it would be about 50 performances over two years. Specific requirements will be communicated after notification.
