Content and physical description
ContentNikos Kazantzakis thinks that Bohuslav Martinů chose the theme of the new composition well. He asks him to put the emphasis on the choirs, because the masses of people are very essential to the work. He also likes the suggestion of using the music of Johann Sebastian Bach [apparently this is a mistake, as BM was not referring to the Passion according to Matthew JSB in his previous letter, but to the text from the Gospel of St. Matthew]. NK reminds us that the dialogues must be very short. He concludes his letter by adding that BM can write to him in English.
