ContentBohuslav Martinů apologizes for not sending the package yet. He's on his way to Princeton University. He'll send the package when he gets settled. He can't even get to work because of his job. Karel Novák was perhaps given the news by [Karel Šebánek], but he too has remained silent, perhaps he too has not fallen into disfavor? BM has reports from Polička that everything is fine, although he does not praise the situation very much. Rafael [Kubelík] played a double bill in Brussels. He was there with [Rudolf] Firkušný. The [Czech] Philharmonic wrote to BM that they wanted to perform a whole concert of his works at the Prague Spring Festival and invited BM to Prague. Perhaps he could come in June if he gets a holiday at the university. What about [Václav] Talich? I hope he is no longer ill and is conducting again. BM has not received any recordings made in the CSR without his permission. BM has already asked the consulate and nothing. K. Šebánek said that they recorded SYMPHONY No. 4, which BM is not happy about because he made some more changes in it. BM also says hello to Mila [Nováková] and Eva [Nováková] and will be glad for the letter.
