Dear M. Stein,

Thank you very much for your letter of 15th January and the list of mistakes of Martinu’s “Sinfonia concertante”.

On December 29th I wrote to your Hire Department: “I should be grateful if you sent me a copy of the finally printed score, as soon as it is ready. My own has got all the mistakes that are still to be corrected before the final printing. Furthermore I should be obliged to you for a new set of the solo parts as well. In my set there is that bad mistake I pointed out to you and which was to be corrected before printing.” I hope to receive the finally printed score – by the way I would now ask you to send me two copies of this score – and the solo parts very soon.

My wife and I remember our visit in London in December with great pleasure. You and your daughter made us such a nice welcome. One of my friends recently sent me an article from the Daily Mail, written by the Earl of Harewood, which I read with pleasure.

If ever you and Mrs. Stein or the Harewoods come to Switzerland, we hope to have the pleasure to welcome you at Schönenberg!

                                                                                              Yours sincerely
