Content	Bohuslav Martinů thanks [Cameron] Baird for the invitation to perform the CONCERT FOR SMITH QUARTET AND ORCHESTRA, but he will not be able to attend. He is going to Europe in May and will not be able to meet his obligations in New York. He regrets not hearing the Budapest Quartet and the Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra.
