ContentWhen Charlotta Martinů was in Prague, Dilia informed her that Czechoslovak Television was interested in co-producing a film version of JULIETTA with French [television].
On 17 July 1967 Charlotta wrote to her French address about this. Perhaps they will be able to discuss it with her during her present stay in Czechoslovakia.
Georges Neveux is said to have discussed the matter when he was in Prague, and ChM spoke to Václav Kašlík about it. ChM is to communicate his decision to Dilia. It concerns the assignment of the television broadcasting rights for the French, German and Czechoslovak areas.
He and GN have discussed the preliminary distribution of royalties for theatrical performances, and Dilia sends his proposal: of the 12%, 6% would go to Bohuslav Martin [i.e., now ChM], 3% to GN, 1% to the translators (Eleuthère Lovreglio and Anna Maria Wurm), and 2% to Dilia. Dilia told him of ChM's decision regarding the new translation. GN took note of this. He just does not wish the names of the translators to be mentioned in the text.
As Neveux had already been advised, the TV licence for the French area would not come into force until 1969. Theatrical performances in France will be able to take place in 1968.
Film royalties have not yet been discussed, assuming ChM's approval. Dilia insists on its condition that priority be given to theatrical performances on French territory.
