ContentBohuslav Martinů would like to explain the misunderstanding concerning the disposal of his works: If Universal Edition Vienna deals with his compositions effectively, he will be pleased to cooperate with them. As regards the opera THREE WISHES OR INCONSTANCY OF THE LIFE, he assumed that they had it at their disposal. At the same time, he also writes to Camill Hoffman and sends him the text and the piano reduction of the opera (which is, for now, only provisional).
P.S. They do not have to send him the SEXTET; he will have the new STRING QUARTET No.3 performed instead.
