Content and physical description
ContentDilia announces that during her stay in Prague she and Charlotte Martinů have agreed to use Bronislaw Horowitz's translation of JULIET for French performances. They refer to their telephone conversation with BH on 25 May 1967 and to a letter from Georges Neveux dated 23 April 1967. GN approves Horowitz's translation, but on the condition that BH is not listed as translator on the posters or in the programme.
Dilia asked Horowitz to insert the French text in the piano lift and for the complete typed text, but BH did not comply and referred them to Boosey & Hawkes in Paris. So Dilia sent them the piano lift and asked them to have the French translation made and have the piano lift with the typed text delivered to Dilia as soon as possible.
In Dilia, they have to write the French text into the other piano lifts by hand. This is a demanding job, so they ask for the material to be sent quickly.
They ask when the Lyon Opera would need the sheet music and how many copies.
