The editing of the piano extract of JULIETTE was done with an eye to the consistency of linguistic and musical accents, as well as to the analogy between the sound of the Czech and this French text (for example, in the question of breathing).
Some notes were added to the vocal part according to the manuscript original, although they were missing in the piano extract.
Elsewhere, notes were added either before time or as extensions of musical sections.
The writer draws attention to a particular missing section (the entrance of the old Arab) which is found in the manuscript.
The erroneous notes have been corrected in both printed copies [of the piano excerpt].
